Newcastle United are sixth on 56 points and have three games remaining going into this clash, but still need to make up four points.
However, Tottenham are on a run of four straight defeats so are giving the Magpies all the opportunities to catch up to what seemed a few games ago, highly unlikely.
Brighton sit in 11th place having not had a great season in comparison to their last.
Brighton won the reverse fixture at the Amex Stadium and could complete a double over the Magpies for just the third time.

Brighton did the double over Newcastle back in 2020/21 as well but it's going to be tough to do so again away from home as they've struggled on the road, but they aren't in great form coming into this while the Magpies are always strong at home.

Newcastle won 2-1 and 4-1 against the Seagulls at home in their last two meetings at St James' Park and it should be a big one here with Brighton not really in the best of runs.
They will be boosted by their win against Aston Villa, but they did face a depleted side who had just suffered a big loss to Olympiacos a few days prior.
Newcastle look ready for this with their strikers in top form.
They do have to contend with a few more injury issues to their back line though.
With Fabian Schar, who had been their most reliable centre back this season, has picked up an injury to see him out of the final three games.
Kieran Trippier could return to the side this weekend but it's still unlikely he's able to make it into the starting XI.
Despite that, Newcastle's injury woes at the back their midfielders are mostly going strong and they have the adaptability with a few defensive minded midfielders to fill in.
They should be able to make the most of Brighton's poorer form and get a decent win at home once more but at odds on it needs to be part of a btts bet builder of some kind to make it more backable, as has been the case in their last two meetings here.
